Compare The Traditional Asian Theater From The Others
Compare the traditional asian theater from the others
Asian and western theater differ from each other in many ways. In Asia drama, dance and music are always the form and elements of theater. Each play involves dances that shows the reach culture of the different countries in Asia. European performing arts, on the other hand, have developed their own ways. Their performances are mostly text-dominated or "spoken theater", music-dominated or "opera", and dance-dominated "ballet".
Asian performing art combine drama, dance and music into a kind of whole. Every play is composed of the three which is hard compared to other because combining the three in one act requires lots of practices and skilled actors. Therefore in Asia it is simply not possible to classify stage arts as nonverbal "dance" or "spoken theatre".
